Don't expect to light up at this team's football games!
The University of Illinois became smoke free January 1, joining hundreds of other colleges who have done the same.
U of I Police want to remind football fans that this smoke free policy also applies to tailgaters at Memorial Stadium.
Signs have been placed all over campus, including around the football field.
If fans refuse to put out their cigarettes, they will be asked to leave.
