The first happened around 10:30 this morning, and the second, only twenty minutes later.
Champaign authorities say a bank and a credit union were robbed at gunpoint this morning.
Police say the first incident happened at the Regions bank in the one hundred block of south State Street.
They say a man walked into the bank, implied he had a gun, demanded money and fled.
Then, just before eleven, nearly the same scenerio happened at the Champaign County Schools Employees Credit Union on South Mattis.
Police say a suspect walked in to the business armed with what looked like a handgun, demanded money and took off.
So far, no arrests have been made.
