The Eastern Illinois women's basketball team was eliminated by UT Martin Friday afternoon 71-69 in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Semifinals.

After overcoming a halftime deficit, the Panthers rallied to tie the game with 46 seconds left, only to lose with four seconds left in the game.

Mariah King led the comeback for the Panthers in the second half, posting a team-high 20 points and adding 10 rebounds for her 10th career double-double.

Ta'Kenya Nixon also contributed 17 points and 7 assists in the game.

However, it was Sabina Oroszova who tied the game at 69 apiece in the final minute, hitting a jumper off the glass in traffic.

On the ensuing possession, UT Martin turned the ball over, but Ta'Kenya Nixon gave it right back, setting up the game-winner for Butler in the closing seconds.

The Skyhawks advance to the OVC Tournament Finals and will face-off against either Belmont or Tennessee Tech.

This loss by the Panthers also marks the second consecutive year they have lost in the OVC Semis, falling last year to Tennessee Tech.
