One of Shelbyville's most historic buildings is close to having its fate decided.
The Chautauqua auditorium is in need of repairs.
City officials say earlier this month they sent 2,000 residents a survey in their water bill.
They say 500 survey results were returned and when asked if residents supported using city funds to repair the Chautauqua building, a majority said no.
A meeting is planned for February 19th at 6 P.M. to discuss the results of the survey and what actions need to be taken.
