Taxpayers Earn Tax Credit

Monday, 18 February 2013

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn wants taxpayers to take advantage of a newly expanded tax credit.

The Illinois Earned Income Tax Credit, also known as the EITC, provides low income families with some relief.

Families earning less than $50,000 annually and individuals earning less than $25,000 annually may qualify for free tax assistance and instructions on how to apply for relief at several locations across the state.

In Charleston, assistance can be recieved by appointment at the LifeSpan Center through April 12th.
