Neoga Storm Damage

Friday, 21 February 2014

The storm that moved through central Illinois Thursday meant Friday, residents were left to pick up the damage. But Neoga Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Thomas says even with some clean-up to do, the community is lucky. Thomas says Hartke's property was the worst-hit in Neoga. Emergency management doesn't believe a tornado caused this damage, but others were spotted in central Illinois near Pana in Christian County, and west of Shumway in Effingham County. So far, officials say no injuries have been reported as a result of the storms.
