Teutopolis School Strike

Thursday, 13 February 2014

A strike could've happened on Thursday, but teachers are still on the job in Teutopolis.

Last month, the Teutopolis Education Association filed an "intent to strike" but legally could not strike until Thursday.

News Watch spoke with both the Association and superintendent and they say the two sides plan to meet again February 25th to try to work out a deal.

The association is demanding what they call a fair salary schedule.

Superintendent Bill Fritcher says he hopes to get a contract in place as soon as possible.
