The streak will end at 160 years for the Macon County Fair.
Battling debt and overdue payments, the Macon County Fair Board says they will not be able to host this year's fair in the Decatur area.
Macon County Fair Board Treasurer Terresa Wilson says instead the organization will host a "Macon County Festival" from June 10th to the 15th.
Long-standing fair favorites such as the Queen Pageant and harness racing will not return this year.
Wilson says the organizations' total debt is roughly $300,000.
