More on more ambulance calls are being made in central Illinois and the reason may surprise you. Health officials say heroin use is increasing all over the nation and east central Illinois has fallen victim to the addiction. Diel says drug overdoses have now surpassed the number of traffic deaths in Illinois this year. Both of the health officials we talked to in this story say there's more people on heroin than you might think. They say users come from all ethnic and economic backgrounds.
