Coles County Courthouse Getting Defbrillator

Thursday, 10 April 2014

The Coles County Board is looking to further prepare the county courthouse in Charleston for an
emergency situation.

The board has approved the purchase of a defibrillator that will be stored by the security
desk on the first floor of the building.

The board says they've been planning to purchase a defibrillator for several months.

The device will be purchased in the next two weeks.

A emergency defibrillator uses electric shock to restart a heartbeat in emergencies.
