Putters will soon back on the green at a local golf course!
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has hired Green Golf Partners to reopen and run Eagle Creek's golf course.
The agency says the course will re-open on Friday.
The rest of the resort remains closed after a mold incident in 2009.
The IDNR hopes to find someone to take over that project too.
Officials say terms of the golf course deal are still being worked out, but operations will start under what's called an "emergency contract".
