Champaign police are looking into why someone opened fire on a carload of people.

Champaign County Deputies found a car flipped over Wednesday morning at the 400 Block of Country Club Road.

Officials say one vehicle forced another vehicle to stop then opened fire on the vehicle.

They say in an attempt to flee their attackers, the victims reversed their car into a ditch, turning it over in the process.
 
Authorities say one victim, a 27 year old male suffered a bullet wound to his back, while another victim, a 32 year old man, suffered head trauma.

No arrests have been made.
