EIU Baseball Injury
Their season is just about to start, but for this player that may not be the case.
Brad Schweigert, an infielder for the Eastern Illinois baseball team has suffered an injury that may jeopardize his season all together.
Schweigert hit a foul ball off of Mike Hoakstra during practice and it was that swing that messed up his wrist.
The team's trainer Aaron Haselhorst, told him it's most likely a hairline fracture.
And now Schweigert will have to wait and hear from the doctors for his next step of action.
Schweigert batted .272 and started 34 games at second base last season.
The team will head to Mississippi this weekend to start their year.
