New federal rules will make understanding airfares a lot easier.

Starting today airlines will be required to include all mandatory taxes and fees in the advertised price.

Those fees sometimes add up to 20 percent to the ticket price.

You still won't find baggage and other optional charges included in the advertised price, but those will be more clearly displayed.
